Title: Hello Geekhack!
Post by: sheinow on Thu, 30 July 2015, 19:52:46
Hey Geekhack!

Ive been lurking around the board off and on for a while really liking the resources and dedication of this community, and so I decided to jump in. I'm as web developer in Ann Arbor, and in my free time I have various and sundry projects that I take on, one of which coming up has a substantial keyboard element and is one big reason I dropped in here. I'm primarily a Mac guy these days and my daily driver keyboard is a Matias Tactile Pro which I love at work, but I like the idea of finding something smaller for home. I look forward to participating in this community!

Welcome to Geekhack!

Do you have a full size or TKL Matias?  Something smaller could be a HHKB ... ;)

The substantial keyboard element sounds interesting - if it is something you are building, creating a build log in making stuff together (https://geekhack.org/index.php?board=117.0) with pictures would be a great way of sharing your progress: )

I have the full size on the Matias, so going down to the HHKB would be a heck of a jump, but I like the idea of that or another 60%.

As for the project, I'll certainly put up a build log. I've been checking out some of those posts, and there are some impressive projects going on!

I Exclusively used full size until I discovered TKL keyboards.

Now I tend to switch between TKL and 60% (HHKB), so the contrast is no so great.
