Title: A nice G80-11900 on Ebay
Post by: Tactile on Sun, 02 August 2015, 09:24:32
This one is $34 & according to the number should have MX blacks & double-shot keycaps. It looks to be in pretty nice condition.

Well, that didn't last long. Did someone from here get it?

'Twasn't me. These are swell boards, though. Several of us got a great deal on some not long ago. It's a great chance to experience the firmer Cherry MX Blacks for relatively little dough. The compact form factor is fun—it takes just a bit of adjustment remembering where the Delete key is. Its placement encourages you to make fewer mistakes, though.  :?)

Here's another G80-11900 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cherry-Keyboard-G80-11900LPMUS-Advanced-Performance-Line-Touchboard-G80-11900/261935605270) at the same price, from a different seller. It's white, not black, but it's in the original box. It's listed as "used", but there are no signs of use that I can see—and with white keys, it's usually pretty easy to spot grime. (At this price, I doubt the seller would've bothered to clean it.) They may be calling it "used" just because the box was open. Considering Cherrys' durability, even if this had been used a little, it'd be virtually new, mechanically.

This concludes this White Deal-Priced G80-11900-describing message. (BTW, I've just had some coffee. It's still a fine deal, though, even uncaffeinated.)

Oh man! I missed out on this one by just a couple hours!

Guess me and others will have to get their consolation prize here:

But those include free shipping. That's not as fun. If you live in a suburb like I do, getting to pay extra for shipping is actually considered a form of excitement.

The adrenaline rush when the seller uses UPS and you get a ransom call for a brokerage fee in exchange for your package.

Indeed—how do you spell "cash grab"?

And here's a NIB one for $68 shipped, in case anyone's interested. (I don't know what these normally go for, so I don't know how good a deal it is.)
