And holy ****, the 80's box office was weird. This damn movie was released in '81 and somehow dominated the box office for 4 months of '82! Craaaazy.

that scene made me fall in love with Dangerfield, as an 80's baby with a cool non touchy uncle i had the pleasure of catching some classic comedies early on. Police academy raised me :P

Waterworld
I am one of the few people who actually liked the ridiculous Waterworld.
Driving a chopped 1960s Lincoln in hold of the Exxon Valdez throwing out free cigarettes, what's not to like?

I think I'm just a little away from the NSA jurisdiction... XD

I'm with you on that one. Waterworld was underrated, and I really enjoyed it. In fact, Kevin Costner had a bad rep for a while for doing that and the other post-apocalypse movie, The Postman. But I think both are great. Bull Durham was much worse, in my opinion. Wyatt Earp was authentic, but dragged on too long, and Dances With Wolves is a real masterpiece.
Okay, enough Kevin Costner. :)

Airport 1975
But I prefer the music videos list :) "Kung Fu Fighting"! Ah yeah!
Also "Far, far away" by Slade, "Piano man", "You aint seen nothin' yet", "Killer Queen", "Cat's in the cradle" and "Sweet home Alabama". Not bad.
-
Carrie 1976
It's depressing to see that most of the movies you guys listed I remember seeing...when they came out. Gosh I feel old.
-
Jaws.
(Actually, I didn't think that movie was as old as me.)
-
Coal Miner's Daughter. At least this film was well reviewed, and the lead actress won an Academy Award for her performance.
Also... this thread is confirmation we're surrounded by yougins...
Yeah, seeing some of the entries in this thread really makes me feel old.

Beverly Hills Cop
I'm not upset about that.
