Do the tenkeyless boards have an embedded numpad? I don't think I see an Fn key in the pics. I don't ever use a numpad qua numpad, but I occasionally use it as a quick on-keyboard mouse, via Mouse Keys. Mouse Keys isn't expressive enough for me to complete avoid the real trackball, so a compact keyboard that allows easy access to the right is still preferable to a board with a actual numpad.

num lock is the key you are looking for

which tenkeyless? the filcos do not have numpad functionality.
-
i thought they did
but i dont own one
what else could numlock do on a keyboard with no number pad?

Hmm, I see a NumLock on the Realforce tenkeyless pic, but not on the Filco. Filco tenkeylesses don't have an embedded numpad?

i own two filco tenkeylesses. they do not have an embedded number pad, nor a numlock key.

no, they don't.

The TypeMatrix (http://www.typematrix.com/) handles it best. You can use the Fn key to access the numpad, or you can use the Num key to toggle it on. This is all separate to the normal NumLock function, so you can use the embedded numpad for numbers or navigation - which is actually useful for Mousekeys.

okay, so THAT is what i was thinking about when i was reassured about numpad functionality back in my thread.
