Title: Create geographic sub forum in classfied
Post by: hudson0804 on Fri, 07 August 2015, 06:16:56
Would it be useful to memebers to have the classifieds broken down into regions..

US + Canada
Mainland Europe
Uk and Ireland
Asia
Afirca
South Africa....

The way i see it you can then have target audience for sales and perhaps even page filters for Trades, WTB. WTS, etc etc.

you get the idea.

it would be better if we had a "location" entry in the user info side of our posts but people often just put something silly anyways like "your mom" or "butthole" or "space station 69" or "IN the COMPUTER" or "bathroom"

hint: if you are trying to sell stuff in EU do it on deskthority, pretty active EU sales going on there although don't expect a lot of sympathy if you get **** for trying to sell keycaps or "custom" mx boards at high prices.

I don't think this would benefit anyone.

Perhaps people could put their country in their classifieds title if its that big of an issue.

But I agree with sth, deskthority has a more global friendly audience.

Could use a look up list?  But again i can see how it would not remain accurate.

Most of the sales seem to be in the US.

Aussies usually put [AUS] in the topic.

Canadians sometimes put [CAD] there.

US members who want to ship to US only usually put something like [CONUS] in the topic.

If we can encourage that kind of text, people will know what to look for.
