Maybe it's just me, but I think making a stupid little video is better than paying hundreds of dollars over retail.

Come on mate, I enjoy MX over Topre but I would have no problem with someone farting on an MX board because its a goddamn keyboard. If someone wants to send me a $3000 keyboard I'll fart on the damn thing for free, no artisans required!
You yourself always advocate letting people do whatever the hell they want with their caps, even if its dumb as hell or if they are selling above retail or whatever they want because it's THEIR OWN PROPERTY. If OP wants someone to fart on their own HHKB to decide who gets first choice of his own artisans, well, then OP certainly can do that even if it's childish (albeit rather funny imo) and kinda stupid.

it has nothing to do with it being topre or an hhkb. it could be a ****ing leopold with blacks for all i care. my point is, this artisan **** is getting out of hand that you have people taking advantage of others for a cap. like if you wanna be a cool dude and sell for retail, fine. but why have people jumping through hoops?
when i wanna do something nice for somebody i dont expect anything in return and i certainly don't want anybody to jump through hoops for anything. i think it's ridiculous and in poor taste for such a niche hobby.

Why is it jumping through hoops? Most of retail re-sales are taken by snipers who lurk the forums and pm the instant they sense anything that is resold at anything near retail values.
This way it provides some comic relief as well as gives people who don't lurk forums 24/7 to get a chance to buy some artisans at reasonable prices.
I'd rather it be done this way then some ****ty first come first serve methodology.
