In search for a replacement case for my Poker II, I wanted to try my hand at making one. So here's my first attempt: Pine with a satin finish!

I'm not terribly happy about how the usb hole turned out, but I did order the necessary files to make it the right way in the next iteration.

For a first attempt, I'm happy with how it came out, but I definitely plan on making more. It feels really solid and makes me feel a little better about missing the recent 60% wooden case on MD :D

a case you build yourself will always be better than what you will get off massdrop!
I love the design, definitely has some rough edges but I get the feeling you know that and are looking towards fixing those!

I love me some good woodworking. Especially like the finger joints.
It may make it a little cleaner to have the bottom slide into the four sides by routing the edges of the bottom and adding slots to the sides.

Thanks! I'm pretty excited to make some more improvements to!

Thanks for the kind words and suggestion, I'm definitely interested in making future versions cleaner and I will definitely try your idea the next time I make one.

How high is that? It looks awkwardly high to me from the pictures.

I really like that case! I've got a thing for DIY.
If you want to improve you could match the bright parts at the edges to the rest, with varnish or similar!

It's about 2.5cm, so not terribly high, but I want to make a shorter one and see if I like it better.

Danke! I like the bright part at the edges, but I could see how that view would not be shared but some others. The pieces in the edges are actually plastic, so they could bet pretty much any other color
