Hi there!
Having very recently switched from console to PC gaming (cue angelic choir sound effect), I found myself searching for a good keyboard. I knew, somehow, that there was something more out there... and even though I still use and prefer the gamepad where relevant, I felt an expensive custom-built computer deserved better than a plain stock KB.
So I've stumbled into this party secret society bunch of crazed addicts brave new world! Bought a CM Storm TKL off ebay; awaiting delivery.
I don't know yet if this will develop into a passion (how many of you have said that?) but I think I'll start by upgrading the keycaps.
I love the look of these kind of things, hopefully I can get something similar once I can decide on colours:

Yeah, the Eve set is great but not quite there for me colourwise... so I'll keep looking I guess.
I have a couple of questions, hope someone can answer.
1) Is the profile of the SP DSA keys suitable for my Quick Fire Rapid?
2) What the hell is a Child Deal?!

1) Is the profile of the SP DSA keys suitable for my Quick Fire Rapid?
The profile of the keys doesn't usually matter functionally, as it's just the shape of the keycap which sits on top of the switches. It makes the keyboard feel different to type on, but whether you like or dislike different profiles is down to preference. Since the Quick Fire Rapid has a standard layout, all you will need to make sure of is that the keycap set is designed for Cherry MX switches, which almost all keysets are.
But I noticed you're in the UK, so you may need to also get your hands on the keycaps necessary for an ISO layout (in which the enter key is shaped like a backwards P). If this is the case then you may run in to a few more troubles. If the enter key is a rectangle, like the backspace & shift keys, then things will be a little simpler.
2) What the hell is a Child Deal?!
When buying keycap sets, like EVE for example, there is a standard or base kit which usually includes all the keycaps necessary to cover a Tenkeyless (without numpad) keyboard. From there you can also buy whichever extra keycaps you may need - which may be different sizes depending on your keyboard and layout. This is done because selling every keycap in a set to every single buyer would be very expensive, and lead to a lot of unsued keycaps.

I thought that the height of the keycaps might have been a minor issue, I guess 1-2mm difference isn't a problem.
Yes, my KB has the large enter key - I'll need to be aware of that.
So the Child Deal = base or TKL set.

Oops - I read my post back and it wasn't very clear! The base set is the standard part that almost everyone should buy, as it includes the necessary keys to cover any keyboard, the letters, numbers, etc. A child deals are the extra packs that contain other bits and pieces such as novelties, or the keycaps to cover an ISO layout keyboard like yours, for example.
That should be a bit more helpful :)

The "bunch of crazed addicts" phrase is probably more applicable to most of us :))
You also used the word "passion" - perhaps "obsession" would be a suitable replacement :p
Do you use UK ISO layout keyboards? If so, your keycap choices might be a bit more limited than plain old US ANSI. Pretty much every keycap set is available for US ANSI (winkey and winkeyless variants), but with the number of ISO variations available not every set caters for all of them.
Fortunately we have BunnyLake and the [CTRL]ALT team, mostly based in the UK, producing ace keycap sets, so this situation is likely to change soon :)
