Title: Anyone know a thing about reverse engineering firmware?
Post by: zars15 on Thu, 20 August 2015, 13:26:24
Hello, recently I've become a happy owner of KPB V60, and I'm looking for ways to get most out of this board.

The thing that interested me, is the USB flashable firmware, but there is no way for end user to program the board. It doesn't help that they have released only 2 firmware updaters, but the good thing, is that they are both identical programs, but each flashes different code.

Now, I'm pretty keen on softwares and I'm ready to get my hands dirty, just wondering if any of you have done such hackery or maybe have tips that help finding the firmware code itself.

By the way, these are the two firmwares I meantioned: https://www.facebook.com/KBParadise/posts/1093952557296883

Haata is great at it. You could also get Hasu's USB to USB converter (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=69169.0).
