Just a follow up to changing out my Filco standard key caps for the blank set from Elitekeyboards.
Since changing them out several weeks ago, I have noticed a marked improvement in my touch-typing skill both in speed and, more importantly for me, accuracy. Before going with the blank caps, I had a "bad" habit of looking at the keyboard when I typed. After using the blank caps for a few weeks I no longer need to look at the 'board when I type. Every once in awhile I still have a brain-fart and can't find a key, but overall I am typing much better. If you or someone you love needs help learning how to type, a keyboard with blank key caps may be just the thing.

I have a blank set on my Scorpius, and I agree. Although I'm to the point now where I can tell with blank keys, where a key is just by it's relation to other keys, when I need to find a square bracket, or something of that nature.
It's a bit nerve-wracking trying to enter in complex passwords, though.

Passwords killed me for a few days. Symbols still trip me up. For awhile, too, I was having trouble getting back to the home row quickly. Things started coming together faster once I figured out how to get back on the home row faster.

Sometimes I wonder about the effects of using QWERTY printing but on a Colemak layout.
It has a similar but different effect.
"Push F to open door."
Reach out with one finger, and the computer registers T. Just used a Med Gel.
It's like you are actually PUNISHED by looking at the keys, instead of not given the chance to do so at all.
It's no real problem when actually typing, but games or anything where I am not on the home row really throws me off.

Yeah I like my blank keycaps until I play a game of some sort. When you are flying all over and not sitting on the home row, it's handy to see what you are hitting.
