So I accidently pulled out a spring whilst cleaning my Model F XT... I still have the spring but there is no way I can get it back into the barrel? I am panicking and just need help. THanks so much!!!

The chopstick method is the easiest I've done. You twist it onto the chopstick (or skewer), push it in, line it up, and twist it back on the foot.
-
Thanks! The springs diameter is not big enough for it to fit onto a chopstick nor a skewer? Well the ones I have are a bit thick... Any other things I could try to use?
-
You twist it onto the pointy end. It won't fit over it, but will fit snugly on the tip.

Okay thanks. I'll try to find thinner skewers. What do I do after that? Place the spring onto the foot?

I hate pointing to rippy roo since it's Sandy's method, but it looks like all the old guides got nuked. Here's how to do it (http://imgur.com/a/6bnzW).

Thanks for that link. I can't seem to do it though... The spring just wont fit back onto the foot unfortunately...

I have never done it, but you will need to screw it down into place. Hence twisting it onto the tapered point of the chopstick.
About a year or 2 ago, someone posted a really nice method for using a modified 1/4" pop rivet to force it straight down.
I kept meaning to find the proper rivet and making one, but never got around to it, and don't know where the link is.

This is the link for the pop rivet buckling spring seating method : https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=63278.0

I will give it a go when I get the materials needed
