Ok so this was a feature of a forum I was on years ago, but essentially it made it so the OP was the top post, regardless of the thread page. This was pretty good at keeping things OT but also for threads about news/updates because the OP was always visible regardless of the page.
I don't think it should be applied to the whole forum, but might be useful for the GB and Classifieds sections so the OP is clearly visible and can be easily updated by the thread starter without worrying about people missing or not seeing it.
Just an idea.

Very good idea,
would be good to have the OP hide on the pages that aren't page 1 until you click one of those things (can't recall the name of it :confused:)
