Title: Help Finding Quiet Keyboard + NKRO Keyboard?
Post by: Aqo on Fri, 11 September 2015, 02:07:09
Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a new keyboard and after several hours of googling I ended up here looking for advice.

Wrote a long OP but deleted it, here's the TL;DR version:

What is currently the most quiet keyboard available that supports NKRO? (need to be able to register 8 keys at once)

Matias Quiet Pro is said to the the quietest keyboard.

Also has n-key rollover.

The new silenced Reds and Blacks in the Corsair Strafe RGB MX Silent should be pretty quiet, too, and longer lasting than Matias switches (some have reported chatter developing after a relatively short period with these). But it pains me to recommend a Corsair, since they don't use a standard layout. If you're getting an MX board it's better to get one with a standard layout so you can swap the usually crappy stock keycaps with better ones.

Or wait until the silent MX switches start appearing on boards made by other more reputable companies like Ducky, Leopold, etc.

Quietest keyboard I ever used, though, was this:

 ;)

I quieten my MX Clears with the trampoline and latex mods, but on most boards it require desoldering the switches to open them up.

I had a Matias Laptop Pro that chattered out of the box.

The Royal Kludge RC930 is extremely quiet and supports n-key rollover that's toggled via a function command.

The Matias Quiet Pro is way too loud for what it's being marketed as.

The MX Silent switches looks interesting, but gonna have to wait until those spread around...

As for Royal Kludge RC930, isn't it simply a keyboard with preinstalled o-rings? Or is there more to it?

Anyone knows a keyboard similar to this one that's sold today?
