Hey guys, I'm back again with another sale of more artisan keycaps. For those of you who missed my earlier sale, I hand-paint keycaps with acrylic paints and varnish them for protection. I also hand-polish any nylon caps to ensure they feel smooth to the touch.
All prices are in USD, all keycaps are Cherry MX unless stated otherwise. I charge $10 for worldwide shipping and am happy to combine shipping for multiple caps.
A. Rubix cube, nylon, $20 SOLD
B. Green face, resin, $25
C. Grey joystick, resin plastic, $40
D. Telephone, resin plastic, $40
E. Blue joystick, resin plastic, $40 SOLD

Thanks for reading, please let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to send me a PM if you're interested in having an artisan keycap painted, I charge based on the amount of labor involved but generally in the range of $25-50 per keycap. My website is not up and running yet but is in the pipeline.
Here are some more photos. Please note my camera is quite crappy and most of these caps look much better viewed in person.

Resin plastic telephone sculpture, epoxy bonded to a flat Cherry keycap. Base has a fine wood grain texture painted on it that the camera doesn't pick up too well.

I painted this intended for a red LED, but my Choc Mini only has blue LEDs so you'll need to imagine how it'll look with a red eye.

Really great work, Bosk. :thumb: I've moved the thread to Artisan Services, since that's really what you're doing here, especially with this no longer being the first sale. If you have any questions regarding this, please let me know. :)
-
No worries HoffmanMyster, glad to hear you like my work. :)
-
HOLY COW. These look amazing. I can't decide which one I want, but I know I have to choose fast 'cause these will go faster than I make my final choice!
-
These are amazing!
I'd love that castle or the rubics cube but I will have to pass for now.
-
You don't happen to have anymore of those piranhas plant do you?
-
Not at present jiexi, but I'd be happy to paint you one from Shapeways if you'd like. Please send me a PM if you're interested.
Here's a link to Tasker's artisan shop:

(I believe Tasker also accepts requests to design custom artisans. His work is top notch and his range of existing designs is huge)
Other artisan keycap shops at Shapeways:

I can paint any of these Shapeways caps in whichever material you like, in whatever color scheme you're after. Resin artisans like Warmasters are also no problem.

Thanks kernel I'm glad you like them. :)
I use expensive hobby paints which will not fade or deteriorate over time. Acrylic paint is basically powdered pigments in a liquid acrylic binder, so upon drying it is basically a layer of acrylic plastic. Fairly hard wearing in itself, which I improve further by adding several layers of varnish over the top.
The paint should last for years, although I would still hesitate to paid a gamer's WASD keys for instance - they've been known to wear even the letters off flat keys unless they're dye sub manufactured. For little-used function keys and the like however there should be no problem.
If a customer was paranoid about the paint wearing off I would suggest they buy a spray can of acrylic gloss varnish like this one and spray an extra coat on their keycap every few months or whenever they felt it was necessary: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Liquitex-Professional-Spray-Varnish-12-oz-Gloss-/161338948670?hash=item25908cfc3e
Also while I'm here, I recently finished painting this flat keycap - a commission for a Geekhack member. (so it isn't for sale, but I can paint another like it)

Hmm, that castle keycap looks really tempting, would have to wait until the end of the month before buying it, though.

Many thanks do_Og@n! I am a big fan of your spiral Hypnocaps which have definitely inspired me, and am flattered that you appreciate my work. :)
