Title: Bro Powderpuff Esc pt. 2

I am the buyer of that cap and prior to Bro spotting the photoshopped image, I had already PMed bro about this and he told me to report it to a moderator. I told him let's give him a chance to send the caps to me and if I did't get it then I will bring this topic out.

The weekend passed and he agreed to send it to me on Monday. Sent me pictures of the caps ready to be packaged and sent out on iMessage. He also told me that he will take pics of the receipt since there is no tracking on this one. Tracked shipment from Canada, to Indonesia, as I was told is expensive.

So then he sent me this pic:

Right off the bat it looks sketchy to me. The number seems wonky, and the fact that it's highlighted like that makes it even more so. I asked my wife and her sister and they all spotted the same thing, the number 2 seems off. So I told him to send me a picture without the box:

It came out the same. Just the box being removed.

So I thought I'll google for something like how to spot when an image has been photoshopped. The website fotoforensics.com (http://fotoforensics.com) comes out so I thought why not give it a go.

Then this picture came out for analysis:

What do you guys think?

I already told him to refund me and just call of this whole thing but he said it's already on its way to me.

Such as a picture of the receipt...again, and a picture of the package with visible information on it?

That number is my zipcode. It's just it looks like it came out from a different number with both number 2 being pasted on.

The original one might have a number like 1x9x0.

I feel like there wouldn't be a point to be lying about that, except if the refund was for a significant amount of money.

At this point, it's your own fault for dealing with someone who illustrated an insane scenario just to keep a cap.

from my experience shipping from Canada to where you are right now would take ages (and sometimes lost, I had 2 out of 5 packages from Canada gone in the past)
and most of the time it would exceed the paypal protection length

It's almost like you did this just to see what would happen, knowing you could very likely be dealing with a difficult transaction, a scam even. You already knew what the community thought about this user and the situation they explained to get out of the sale. We understood it was shady, yet you went against what the community thought and went through with it.

Seems to me just an excuse to start drama after it started to get sketchy, as predicted.

Not saying that this isn't terrible, but you had a ton of warning signs.

I have accepted the fact that I might be scammed, so that's that. No regrets, no nothing. Lesson learnt for me.

PayPal protection is now extended to 90 days. More than enough time for the package to go round the world 5 times. Get your refund if you don't get your caps.

I believe we did this through invoice as well and yeah I do have 3 months for the buyer protection.

a couple of points here, tracking from canada can be expensive, ive had canadian users send me stuff both with and without tracking for that reason, but given the history of this trade, insiting on tracking would have been the only way to move forward, for both personas peace of mind

i guess to play devils advocate, ive seen receipts where things come off really weird, and characters arent uniform even to each other before, but as i say, if you take the original photo with the red box, the 2's line up perfectly with the red box added after that fact, yet the receipt is at a very different angle

hopefully in a week or whatever the package will show up, and its all much ado about nothing

however if the receipt is faked, its yet again astounding at the comedy of photoshop errors that have occurred on both issues here and with the caps, the only way to have done this properly was to lay the receipt on something flat, and take the shot straight on top down

for some reason, against all better judgement, i wanna believe the receipt is real, for no other reason that i dont wanna believe someone was stupid enough to try the same **** twice, and **** up both this badly

Yeah.

Also, I've done a lot of work with thermal receipt tape (used to work for a manufacturer), and printing off-line is not at all common. You'll get streaks from a dirty print head, but I've never seen misaligned characters. Bunny mentioned seeing some, so it's probably possible (or those may have not been thermal paper), but still.

my experience with ****ty characters has been on royal mail receipts, however upon close inspection, its nothing like this, the characters are from entirely different sources

When I send stuff out, I take a photo of the the parcel which also have the tracking slip stickered to it. That way, one cannot dispute it because 1) tracking info is there and 2) receiver's address is on the box.

Not to mention that 9g is ~1/3oz. I've never had a bubble maker and cap weigh less than 1 ounce and it's usually closer to 2-3oz. 1/3oz is just the weight of the package.

his other account is Caeyden (or one of them), it was shadowbanned from mechmarket when part one of this saga happened though, and i'm pretty sure this account was just shadowbanned, so don't be surprised to see more fresh accounts selling the same type of **** pop up.

really hope he's ip banned from here now as well.
