Title: Vintage Alps Keyboard
Post by: snuci on Sat, 19 September 2015, 09:45:42
As a vintage computer collector, I come across some interesting items.  I thought I'd share some pictures of this vintage Alps keyboard. I found a couple of interesting items with this keyboard.  First, there is a lit Reset key which freaked me out when I pulled it :)  Second, the key caps are textured.  I only find this on mid-70's keyboards like the keyboards on my IBM 5100 and 5120.  I did find some info that these key switches were similar to the ones used on the first Apple Macintosh M0110 keyboard but the key caps are no where near the same.

Here's some pics:

Does anyone happen to know where this keyboard assembly was used?

That is interesting, especially the keycap stems. Have you tried them on an MX switch to see if they fit? If so they would make for a cool custom 60% as long as you could figure out the stabilizers.

Hmm, first thing that comes to mind is the t-mount alps I'm boards that were being sold here a while back.

SKCC T-mount Alps. From my knowledge they aren't compatible with MX but someone was working on a adapter.
