Title: Botting Therapy
Post by: digi on Wed, 23 September 2015, 21:57:51: Here is a thread which will provide us with therapy for game botting.

So it's like I feel like I'm winning but losing at the same time, all the power my PC consumes while being left on over night in turn is like pay to win.

So even though I'm l33t and have all the best gear, I'm really losing at the same time because I'm paying for it with my electrical bill.

I might have to look into a low power botting pc (raspberry pi) or something.

Do you leave your bot on 24/7? What hardware are you running it on?

Post by: naasfu on Thu, 24 September 2015, 00:22:15: many years ago, my coworkers and i wrote bot scripts for the pvp server for asheron's call. we wrote stuff like combat scripts for leveling, healing assistant scripts, and also coordination scripts so ones could command our entire guild of bots to follow you around and kill assigned targets.

i wrote a money making script that leveraged the fact that your character was invulnerable for a few minutes after death. the bots would suicide, head to town to buy mats, make items and sell them for profit, and then head back home before the timer ran out. it was entertaining to watch other players wasting their time by following the bots around, hoping that our bots would turn red so that they could kill them and steal our loots.

so much fun. :)
