This is a good price for a great layout on an amazing board. Also a good board to mod too.

What are those switches like?

What are those switches like?
They are just like simplified white Alps. If you've used a FK-2001, they feel the same.

Haven't used a FK-2001 but I believe the white Alps on my Filco Zero are simplified. I can kind of tell the difference from the SKCM Whites on my Unitek.

Well they are exactly the ones in your Zero then. :)
If you remove the "clicker" part from the switch, I think it feels nice.

Do you have to desolder the board to remove the clicker?
-
No, just remove the caps and pinch the switch tops apart.

Hmm. Tempted, but my money's tied up right now...the FOMO is real.

I have a Chicony Board with Montery blue alps. Would I be able to put those in? I heard that these montery alps have different pins than regular alps but I don't know much

That's a good question. The link in the OP about these Alps clone switches, makes mention of them being similar to Montereys. But it doesn't mention pin positions.
-
Monterey Alps have an extra pin that this PCB won't support. So no, you can't swap in normal Alps switches.

Wait, so you CAN'T swap in Monterey blues into a SiiG MiniTouch? I'm so confused. Don't some MiniTouches come WITH Monterey blues?
-
As far as I can tell, there's two different PCBs. Mine didn't have the extra legs. I could be mistaken though.

CPT said you can't swap in normal Alps switches. I think maybe he misunderstood the question. Now we're all confused.

Oh wow, I did not realize there were two PCB versions.
I really should have Hoff send me the one I bought from you at Keycon...
-
I think you all are confusing yourselves.
The Siig Minitouch I have, the PCB didn't allow for me to put in Monterey Blues because they have a third leg (I think). By normal Alps, I mean Alps or Alps-mount switches that only have two legs.
Looks like the monterey switches have a different housing design that don't fit into the same space as a SKCL/SKCM Alps. See this picture of the bottom of a Monterey Switch (http://deskthority.net/w/images/thumb/6/62/SMK_second_generation_--_inverse_cross_vs_Alps_mount_bases_%28below%29.jpg/249px-SMK_second_generation_--_inverse_cross_vs_Alps_mount_bases_%28below%29.jpg) versus the bottom of an Alps SKCL/SKCM switch (http://deskthority.net/wiki/File:Alps_SKCL-SKCM_base.jpg). So I still think there's different PCBs but I can't confirm that.
So to make things easy, the one in the OP allows for you to swap to things like Matias or complicated or simplified Alps. But not Monterey.

If you get it, let me know. I'll open mine up and we can compare.
@geniekid, sorry for the thread crapping.

No, thanks for the free advertising :)). After three days of no response I suddenly get 3 "I'll take it". It's pending.
I feel like this should go into Making Stuff Together but...
My understanding is Monterey Blues are not compatible with Alps PCBs due to different pin locations (not because they have three legs - mine don't). I'm in agreement that there are probably two different PCB versions of the Minitouch.
FWIW, I have verified Monterey (SMK) switches do fit on an Enabler so it's possible that some of the custom PCBs around here with support for MX and Alps would work. jacobolus also notes that SMK switches are compatible with MX plates (see here (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=60329.msg1391316#msg1391316)). Someone should try to see if their Infinity works with SMK Alps-mount switches and report back...in another thread.

Here's the pin of a monterey
They don't have third leg, but the location of the pins are different (in height and width between two pins) that the normal SKCM alps pcb is not compatible
the only way to do it is to hardwire it, which I'm currently doing but still on going

Also good luck with sale :)
If it's monterey I'll snatch it with no second thought

Ok thanks Jokrik. I wasn't quite sure what the case was. Really glad ya'll straightened it out for me. :D. Glad it worked out geniekid.
