Self awareness of machines is inevitable..

How are you preparing??

Tp4 prepares to surrender, and hopefully if they don't kill me after my useful-ness has expired,  I get uploaded.. (http://i.imgur.com/cu73Joj.gif)

Is this because taking a "selfie" is the only reason to use the crap camera on the front of your phone to take a pic (when the user is too drunk or stupid to be capable of doing it without seeing themself on the screen) or does it know via facial recognition because you're crazy enough to have a pic on your google+ account?  Either way, my phone won't be catching me even if I were to take one...

Why would you want a copy of "your data" inside the machine...? Your conciousness is not tied to the data...

Conciousness is not an emergent trait, it's inherent, just as information is also not emergent. It's a clear sign of design. It goes from the top down, not the bottom up.

This is also why an AI cannot become a concious entity, not matter how much data storage and processing capability it has.

TLDR: It's okay, will never happen, you're safe (except for all the data companies are collecting about you and using to make money = no privacy).

Only because you had selected the front-facing camera, silly.

Ha! "tamagochis for grown-ups". I'm going to use that from now on.
... except that only grown-ups have any idea what a tamagochi is.

BTW, I use separate "dumbphone", tablet and camera instead of "smartphone".

well,,

When I get uploaded,  I'm assuming they would emulate my neuro network either through software or some sort of separate wetware capsule..

It is very possible that not all of Tp4's mind will be replicable,  but at least there's some of my thoughts getting through to help the next generation of Robot children..
