Title: Hi guys!!!
Post by: ziptyze on Tue, 06 October 2015, 10:10:02
I've certainly popped over here from time to time, normally because something I'm googling showed up in a thread here, but I had mostly been spending time at Reddit, and I'm starting to feel like I'm missing a big part of the mech community.

I've recently started making 3d printed 60% cases that are now available at http://1upkeyboards.com/index.php?cPath=35&osCsid=20vpffp1u8vm4h4b4rl522aar0 (http://1upkeyboards.com/index.php?cPath=35&osCsid=20vpffp1u8vm4h4b4rl522aar0), sales of which have been primarily serving to feed this new addiction of mine.

So hello, and I'm looking forward to browsing the forums over here! Thanks!

I am starting to explore the possibility of making cases for other keyboards, but the HHKB would be nearly impossible to achieve with 3d printing because of the tolerances of the top plate and all of the molded areas.

I am going to start on TKL's next, but it's going to get interesting because my printer is already almost the exact width of the 60% cases, so I'm going to have to get creative with how I print them

Yes, that's one thing about the case-mounted HHKB, unfortunately, and also what seems to stop anyone from making an aluminium case for it.
