So I am attempting to put together a pokemon key set, and in doing so I came up with a great idea. As is the case with all my great ideas, I'm sure it wasn't implemented for a reason but I am curious as to why.
Why have there not been any keysets with 3 colors, 2 colors as the "base" and the third color being interchangable. For example, see my thread here: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=75774.0.

You sell the base set, and then you sell the other 2 colors as add ons, or even just sell it all as one?
I mean, common sense tells me that yes, while the theme will remain the same the fact that you can "hot swap" between three different colors would be highly desierable. What am I missing here? Can it be no one has come up with such an idea? Or, has the idea already been shot down by some logic unknown to me? If I gander a guess I will probably say it has to do with price, all of which is completely new to me.

Deep Space had different options for mods. The problem is that it becomes increasingly difficult to hit MOQs as you add more.

Ah, so MOQ would be three times the normal amount with the add-ons, Does anyone have any idea, ball park roundabout what the price would be for a set such as this? Iwould probaly make it a TKL set so it would contain 66 extra keys.

From SP? I submitted a really simple colorway, and it ended up being around $40 for base and $35, before quantity is reached. It gets cheaper the more people buy.

Any idea on what that would translate to for GMK? I know they are typically more expensive, but Im not sure how much more
