Title: Duracoat
Post by: nubbinator on Fri, 09 October 2015, 15:46:15
Has anyone used Duracoat in here?  Unlike Cerakote or powder coating, it doesn't require an oven.  It appears that it has the same spray on application, but it's air dry abd not as durable (but still better than paint).  It looks like it also has more color options and is a fair bit cheaper.

I look forward to asking you that question in 2 weeks when you've tried it yourself :P

I don't use it but I've seen how it holds up in real world use. What's the intended application?

I was looking at my model f plate and maybe some alps plates.  It looks like air dry cerakote and duracoat are the same thing.  I just didn't want to drop the cash if it was crap.

Either should be fine for that. It's probably worth it.
