Found this on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-340X-23-27442-Vintage-Beam-Spring-Keyboard-CLICKY-Display-Terminal-/181897350737?hash=item2a59ed4e51
Haven't found any threads on this keyboard anywhere. Only point of reference is the Model F deskthority wiki page.
Date says 1983
edit: Great Finds sub exists. moved?

Interesting find. It says not working, I wonder if that's just because of the connector.

Looks like a regular 3178 Model F to me. There were 4 variants of those, IIRC, C1-C4.
-
Yup, looks like a 3178 (which is a Model F). Good for harvesting barrels, flippers, caps, solenoid. I think a couple folks have gotten them converted with xwhatsits. All the 3178s I have ever received had broken cases around the screw holes on the bottom.
-
For that price i would just pick it up if i where you.
-
I have the 3178 adapters and model F xwhatsits that will get it working, but you'll need to be able to solder those. Can sell both together for $40 shipped to the USA. PM me if interested.
-
Good price if it doesn't skyrocket. Definitely worth getting. FWIW this has a solenoid witch can be put into 4704 keyboards with xwhatsit controller + solenoid adapter.
-
At the current price, I would pick it up just to solely feel how beam springs feel as I've heard its leagues above the Model F which to me is already light years ahead of the Model M.

Just so you know, this is NOT a beamspring. If these were, prices would be way higher. This IS a model F keyboard (with a crappy layout).
