Hi Geekhack,
I dont come here often anymore since my attention has shifted towards school and work priorities. But, I decided to sell on ebay 2 Clickclacks keycaps I've held onto for a long time. Here are the links :

Dear Santa,
-
I can't even see the proof marks on them in the pictures. Can you post better ones?
For the Oktoberfest that is.
-
Yes, I can post better pictures. I will charge my camera instead of using my nexus 4. Give me a few.

Awesome thanks! It is obvious with the candycorn Blank but really difficult to tell with the oktoberfest.
-
Well, it turns out that the pictures I took with my camera in supermacro mode turned out worse then with the nexus 4. Hopefully you can see the proofmark on the keycaps. Let me know if you guys would like me to provide more pictures.
-
Thanks! You can definitely make out the proof marks now.

Man, je suis juste a côté de vous au Nouveau-Brunswick...
I may have to place a bid on the Oktoberfest. GLWS

Item location: laval
Tell you what, I'll just go pick them up in cash and you can save yourself the ebay fees
-
Wow, someone really wants that Oktoberfest blank. Probably the fastest I've seen a clack jump on eBay. Oh well, out of my price range now. Have fun overpaying

Same 0 feedback account that always bids **** up. The cap isn't worth $165, so consider yourself lucky you didn't waste the money.

That 0 feedback account is me. I want the damn OktoberFest. This isn't someone ****ing with the pricing. I was also the one who wanted the Emerald BBv2. I can prove it to you if you want.
Edit 1: I never used eBay before this past year.
Edit 2: The max bid was already placed at $150 and I have wanted an OktoberFest/Drunken Skull since I joined.

May just be the way ebay codenames similar 0 feedback accounts in the history then (a***9), but if you actually are the same person that bids up caps within the first couple days every time, you really need to rethink your bidding strategy fam (unless you're just trying to **** with prices). All you're doing is giving people time to justify spending more than they originally budgeted, making the final cost higher to you if you really do want it.

I will rethink my bidding strategy. Like I said, I am new to eBay and should do some research but I don't have time to do so right now with school kicking my ass.

All you really need to know is that you will want to place your max bid as close to the end of the auction as possible. Anything else will just increase the price of the item gradually.

I understand that clacks are sought after, but do they typically go for this much??? I am pretty new to GH but I figured, open market, these two caps would go for like $100-200.

The only ones I have seen go for anywhere near this are rare tri-color skulls/other rare clacks and the "special circumstance" clacks, like the Salute that sold for charity. Pretty sure market value for the Topre Oktoberfest blank is ~$130.
-
These blanks are usually 100-125, so the Candycorn isn't too far-fetched for being an ebay auction, but... the... Oktoberfest... is a perfect example of someone going full retard. Should've just given the money to the other guy that makes beer caps to have him make a whole set.

Welcome to Wallethack

MRW I saw that Oktoberfest:

Some seriously special ed bidders on both, but especially the Oktoberfest. Now let's see how many others pop up on eBay in the coming weeks hoping to cash in.

$400 yeesh....
-
Hi everyone,
I'd like to thank the GH community and everyone for granting me the opportunity to advertise my auction here and for the interest shown. I contacted the buyers thru eBay concerning the shipping.
Thank you,
Simz

someone actually outbid the $400... what a time to be alive.
-
I would hope shipping was free at those prices.

The eBay sale led to something equally ridiculous. $40 + shipping for dyed HHKB caps (http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Custom-Artisan-Happy-Hacking-Keyboard-HHKB-Topre-Purple-Arrow-Key-Set/161858589270?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140620075055%26meid%3D5a8639a3f3714456909c2b11ed75f404%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D121788760838). A complete blank set is $50-60. The dye is $3 or less a packet (for me at least). You get 4 sets of 4 per HHKB set you buy, 9 for every 2 sets you buy. So for a $106-126 investment and less than 10 minutes of work (iDye Poly will dye stuff faster than you can blink), they're pulling in $360. I should get in on that gimmick.

No one's stopping you.

Sweet baby jesus the price of the octoberfest one .O.
I want to know if they actually pay and don't try to scam the seller now, as I always worry people will just say it never turned up :X
