Title: Soldering surface mount diodes

This is my first time soldering surface mounts. I know they look like ****, but will these at least be functional?

Really hard to tell from that pic. 

I recommend using an magnifying glass (or a loupe if you have one) to inspect the pads.  If metal+metal connection is shiny, it should be good enough.
