Title: Hero's Group Buy Theorem
Post by: Herothereu on Wed, 21 October 2015, 15:24:44
All Group Buy leaders eventually run a group buy where they die, get sick, become homeless, lose an appendage or go to jail.

Discuss.

The fundamental problem with many of the group buys here @ geekhack, is that the price is low.

And the "runners"  don't calculate into that price the TIME and Organization cost involved.

If at the end of the day,  it's more hassle than profit,   HOW Motivated can the GroupBuy guy really be...

They' might all be good people,  but BAD businessmen.

I beg to differ.  My first group buy had over 6k pieces worth of Enabler pcbs.  From when I had the PCBs to being shipped was less than a week.  At that included all international orders, and all shipping packages labeled by hand.  I only had one package come back, but that was a transcription error on my part.  From inception of the PCB design, to shipping was 5 months ish.
