At my local movie theater. I put this off for way too long, and I totally thought I'd missed the beginning-of-the-school-year hiring window, but I guess not! Now I'll have more money to pour shamelessly into keyboards.

Congrats!
If I come there with a lady friend, will you cut a hole in the bottom of the popcorn bucket for me?
-
Congrats! Movie theater was always my dream job in my younger days but could only land a job at McDonalds
Have fun!

Do they pay you in popcorn? Will you enjoy the smell of buttery popcorn for many hours of the week?
Now I'll have more popcorn to pour shamelessly on keyboards.
FTFY ;)
Anyways, congrats :)

Do you have other lady friends? Aren't you married?
And no, by the way. Unless your friend is tp4, then anything for the god of sex.

I see she likes it extra salty ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

Nice! I hope you negotiated a company car, healthcare, dental etc.
But seriously, any perks?

But seriously, any perks?
Free movies, (to some extent) free ****ty food, having a job where I only actually work for the time between movies, so like ~2 hours out of a 5 hour shift which allows me to do homework for the rest of the time.

Congratulations on the job! Some of the best times of my school years happened at work. Gets me all nostalgic!
-
Congrats!
Jerry Seinfeld joked about the ticket window attendant being the youngest working person, and the ticket taker being the oldest working person, and so basically it takes 70 years to move 20 feet.
-
the perk of working at a movie theatre is working with ****tons of wannabe movie actresses :D
i'm saying this as someone who used to work at one
-
Congrats on the job! I've never worked at the movie theater, but my older sisters did when we were in high school and it was great basically getting free tickets to movies. What kind of perks do you get, if any?
-
Well done :)
and you might get to see some free movies as well

Oh that's awesome. Especially since you're in school - downtime to get work done in the middle of work is fantastic. Well, best of luck with you at the new job! Let us know if you see any good movies!!

Congrats man! Nothing feels better to your self esteem when you are able to finally pay the bills and be self sufficient.

Clearly you have all your priorities set out correctly. :thumb: Congrads on the employment!

Congrats! I just moved closer to home with my family and I'm about to start the job hunt. Amazon is doing a job fair in my area for holiday help, so I'm gonna try and snag a job there. I'd like to get a career that involves computers in the future. IT support, sysadmin, etc. Not 100% sure what exactly I want to do, but definitely something in that field. Does anyone here work with computers for a living?
