What's the longest you've gone without a job?
-
Almost 16 years so far.
-
Made it 16 years 10 months.
-
A little under 6 years between 2008 and 2014, but 4 1/2 years of that was college.
-
21 years
-
well technically, I have a job.. sort of.
-
Almost three months. Well, I've been working from time to time on ****ty jobs that time.
-
14years.
And right now I'm at 23days unemployed, feelsweirdman.
-
First 16 years of my life
-
Conversely, I'm getting into 20 years in the same company! LOL!

Seems impossible for me.
To not get kicked from the UK (Tym's dream), I need to spend at least the next 4.5 years with the same company and it sounds like a prison sentence to me.

I can't believe it either. But time just flies and in a blink of an eye, I've spent two decades here! I can't believe it myself either!
-
1 Month when I moved from VA to FL.
I've been working since I could drive at age 16 and now I'm pushing 30. Living the American dream kids
-
I've been doing some kind of work since I was ~14, so I've been working over half my life.
-
I've been working officially for half of my life, since 15 to 30. Made my first money at 11.
-
I have not been without a job since I was 15.
Was at my last company for 12 years where I held 10 different job titles in that time.
-
Haven't worked since just before my son was born, almost 7 years now
-
18 years from birth til shortly after high school.
Not counting that, 8 months. And it was a great 8 months.
-
around 8 months. hooray funemployment!
-
Almost 7 years before getting laid off
-
15 years before the first job, then various terms of unemployment during school.

Same here.
Been with my current company [2nd job since I was 15] for just over 12 years. Only difference is I've only had 1 job title.. it's hard to want to try and move up when you'd have to take a pay cut to do so. lol

Started working when I was nine for my grandfather doing manual labor. My first job for a company was at my uncle's laundromat when I was twelve doing mopping and cleaning, then I served as a law clerk the week after I turned 16, and worked there until I quit and couldn't find a job for three months in 2008.
So three months is the longest.
During that time, though, I did manual labor again just to get out and keep myself busy, even if it was for meager change, while at night I job hunted and took off necessary days for interviews. Been employed since.

It's mostly because of "family"
Once you sign up on that contract, there's really just one pace..

The only time I didn't have a job was in my early twenties. I ended up getting laid off and then just had no job. It was probably 3 months, maybe 2. It was awful. I need a productive workplace to keep me sane, which is interesting since work drives me crazy.
The only other time I was away from work was for maternity leave. I was pretty ready to go back when that time was up.
-
Right now Im celebrating my third month work free, in reality I checked out five months ago but one of them was just making a manual for the next guy and one was double paid vacation. Feels great man, already taught myself HTML and CSS. Now working on JavaScript and jQuery
Really dont want to go to school again, but in the end there is a possibility I have to.

Longest 2 years of my life....... Can't stand it.
