Title: Calculator Keycaps?
Post by: SamirD on Fri, 23 October 2015, 21:04:08
So now that I've been reading on gh for a while, I looked at my old printing calculator and pulled off the keycap to find that it's a double shot old-school spherical shape.

And that got me thinking--anyone used calculator key caps for their numpad or numerals row?  If so, what's it look like?

We're about to replace my favorite calculator in my tiny accounting office... you have me wanting to pull the keys to see if they're usable.  I just dread that they may not actually be removable and I'll be killing it early :(

hahaha!  I had a bunch of dead/defunct calculators, so I found out that even the rubber dome type come off and will go back okay.  Just don't use too much force--it seems like it's about to break, it probably is.

The best "calculator" is definitely the G80-3700! ^-^

Calculator keys at least in the old days are pretty thick and heavy. Even if they were MX stemmed they may not feel very nice to type on.
