Hello guys,
What is your opinion on the best pbt keycaps other than the OG cherry dyesub?

I'm a fan of the thick Leopold pbt caps, the ones I use are black with side print.

Only other than OG I tried are gaterons, they feel good. Dyesubbed they would be fantastic.

French one are lot cheaper, especially when you buy them from non enthuastist (I should probably not tell you the price, you would choke).

They aren't. The OG dyesub  tooling has not been found (if it still exists).

Cherry g80-3000 keycaps are pbt and feel quite nice.
In Europe the keyboard - including keycaps - costs 67$.

Tab and space bar are non standard.

G80-3000 have a code for keycaps quality and the most common one are lasered pbt or pom that i dont like

BSP and Cherry are both good stuff.

If you are okay with a knockoff, Gateron and Vortex both make similar ones too.

I use 45g(bottom out) browns. And I find that thin keycaps have a lighter type feeling and crisper. Only keyset I can find is OG PBT on recent cherry keyboards(ie:G80-3000).

Try the new leopold dye sub. If i'm not mistaken it's came in leopold own profile. It's rather close to cherry profile.

Of thick Cherry, Leopold and Gateron, I prefer Leopold because of crisper edges and texture.
But the difference is minuscule!

I suspect that the ones on Geekkeys.com were made by Gateron. The tell is that the F and J keys are scooped and have homing bars.

They're also THIN (except the big keys like shifts). As thin as OEM caps. I really don't like the beige PBT lasered sets of those I have.

Nickheller raves over his POM set in cherry profile, I don't have any (yet) but I am really liking my gateron set. GMK looks pretty sweet too, shame the classic beige GB didn't go through though, I almost had a set I've wanted forever

Yep they are like you say so i guess they are Gateron keys then.

Well its been settled i think the best one are bsp and gateron?

for me, Gateron keycap for the price is very friendly to the wallet with full set WK & WKL ...
for an overall sense BSP is still better than gateron..

Indeed BSP and OG dyesub cherry sets are by far my favourite sets. Ducky pbt feels a bit too rough to my taste...and GMK and Cherry DS sets feel good until they shine...then they become too grippy.
I have yet to try Gateron pbt. I see I just missed the GB for gateron caps and I wonder if anyone knows how to get a set.
Btw, I am willing to part with my BSP - OG dyesub sets but I cannot post it on classifieds since I just joined Geekhack... -_-

1. OG Cherry
2. BSP
.....big gap....
3. the rest

I'd take GMK (abs) over the rest and I've tried vortex, leopold and enojypbt (gateron)

afaik there is no way to acquire og cherry and bsp except for the classifieds (and getting old boards with og cherry is nigh impossible).  Imsto will probably do a bsp gb next year (if he isn't gone for good), likely with some fugly legends though like usually.

People really liked the PBT dark sets from Ivan enough that he ran a second group buy but he is running behind on that one if I am not mistaken.

I'm happy with these so far: http://www.geekkeys.com/geekkeys-dark-grey-dyesub-thick-pbt-full-keyset-pre-order/ (http://www.geekkeys.com/geekkeys-dark-grey-dyesub-thick-pbt-full-keyset-pre-order/)

They're the only PBTs I've ever used, though, so no basis for comparison.

These thick pbt's (I think are made by gateron) are usually around 27.99 USD on massdrop when they drop, which is quite often, as theyre extremely popular. Worth a look, very cheap for a set of pbt keycaps anyway, let alone being in the cherry profile. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/blank-pbt-keycaps/talk
