Title: Keyboard with bro cap looking switches?
Post by: ManicMatt1125 on Wed, 28 October 2015, 17:13:45
So I was rummaging through an old retail store and spotted these two keyboards. They are clearly mechanical and one has switches that look like bro caps. Really odd. There are no markings whatsoever on the one, and the bro board has "televideo" in the right corner. It also uses an rj45 connection. Anyone have any ideas what they are?

Bro-looking switches? That's a Hi-Tek keyboard.

The coolest swiches on the block IMO. Are there any examples of a recent custom wired keyboard that uses these switches?

Those are linear white Hi-Tek switches. All of the Televideo keyboards (which that is) have one of the linear white variants. How does it feel? Like most linears...linear. They are similar to MX reds, maybe a bit heavier. There is a clicky variant of the white switch, but it is very uncommon.

Several actually. There are grey, brown, biege and black tactile space invaders, bu they aren't very common. The clicky switches are also tactile by nature of the click mechanism. The black clicky space invaders are the most common.
