I've finished designing my plate, I will cut it with water jet from metal. But before I proceed, I've some questions.
- What should be the thickness of the plate so it would be sturdy enough, and the switches would be fixed in their sockets? (My guess is 2mm)
- Should I use aluminum or steel? Pros and cons?
- People from the cutting service told me that the water jet cannot cut a line shorter than 1mm (look at the picture below), so I'll either have to edit the switch sockets, or cut with lasers instead. Are there any alternative switch socket designs, that dont have lines shorter than 1mm?
