So, I'm using a Model F AT ANSI but when I pulled out my old dusted XT, I realise its so much more snappier and crisper than my AT. It seems almost lighter as well which I don't really like as I am a heavy typist but it overall feels like a step up from my AT. Now, I can't use the XT everyday, its layout is just to bizarre and the stepped keycaps annoy the crap out of me.
I was wondering are there any other Model F's that feel like(or better) than the XT but in a different layout? I am looking at the Model F 122 and 107 but I am unsure which will have the metal plate like the XT which makes it feel better? I am going to guess the 107? Cheers!

The general consensus is that the Model F XT is the "snappiest" and "crispest" keyboard there is. On the planet.
The larger ones are nice and all can be modified to get closer to an ANSI layout, but you will not get the crispness of the XT.

Thank you. Does this mean the 107, 122 and Kishsaver feel exactly the same as the AT? And is there a way to may the XT ANSI?

All buckling spring keyboards feel different. I have 2 Model Ms built a year apart and they are quite different. Differences are greater elsewhere.
These are subjective questions without answers. The "XTant" project is an attempt to re-create the F XT in a modern layout.

I found the Model F 122 to be a little snappier and crisper, especially when I put 1/8" foam in there.
As for the all metal Model F's, like the Kishsaver and 107, those are pretty crisp, too, although quite loud.
It's all subjective, though, with Model F's.
