Link. (http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Made-W-Oak-Wood-Keyboard-Cherry-Mechanical-MX_W0QQitemZ130328223814QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCA_Mice_Trackballs?hash=item1e582ae046)

Just a little too pricey for me...

That's a relisting (nobody wants to spend that much - wonder why?).

I expected more enthusiasm for a cherry blue. :-(  What is it a G80?

Do you have a camera?  I want to see that Italian Red in real life.  Too bad it doesn't come in a Tenkeyless version.

I posted a couple of pics a while back. I forgot which thread, though.

Found it.  Ooooo.... Those look nicer than those lightbox shots.  Deep red.

I would describe the color as "fire engine red". It's a real "chick magnet" kinda like driving a red convertible.

I know about this seller. He is the one of the famous keyboard modder in Korea. I am not sure if he is the same guy who sells custom metal keycap, and 99% gold key cap(specially ESC), etc. You cant imagine the price of those key caps.. :)

I wouldn't never pay $1000 for a keyboard though.. I am impressed by their hard work and dedication about custom keyboard.

I always see those on ebay and would love to try one out in person

No way I could buy one, though. Damn, that's a lot of dough.

Always loved wooden PC stuff. Built an ash ATX case for a HS shop project, complete with picture-frame style window and rustic doorbell pwr/rst buttons. good times.

How can a keyboard be a chick magnet? Are you hanging it out your window?

The Ebony one is hot.  Some Cherry browns and a US layout and I would be set.  Too bad they're $1000.

yeah, you know, it kind of dangles outside the drivers side window. Looks cool as I cruise down the street. Takes away from the fact that I am driving a Ford Festiva. Chicks dig it.

I've noticed the chicks drive by my house much more frequently and slightly less rapidly than they used to before I purchased the Italian Red. ;-)

I wonder how a keyboard would look with a rosewood case and stainless steel keys?

Ripster, did you do the artwork for this (http://arstechnica.com/gaming/reviews/2009/11/lego-rock-band-review-you-know-for-the-kids.ars)?

I would think an all-wood keyboard would be nice if done well.  I think the keys would be great.  Metal would be nice from a wear standpoint, I just wouldn't think they would feel particularly great.  Just MO, though.

If I would ever buy a wooden case, it would have to be handmade. These however look like they come from a factory line, almost like plastic with wood print. They lack character.

my feelings exactly.

I don't think Norm Abram would work with that small of pieces of wood.

I don't think his wife would let him.

I heard he doesn't leave any scraps. He would actually have to go out and buy wood to do a project like that.
