Title: ITT: Edible keycaps?
Post by: jaffers on Thu, 05 November 2015, 05:29:43
I'm not too sure about anyone else, but when I originally got into the keyboard community one of the first things I noticed was that a lot of the custom keycaps and keysets looked so good they could be sweets and hard candy. Its stuck with me and now when I am looking at keyboards and keycaps I find the ones I am most attracted to also make me hungry, even if they don't look like they are inherently edible...

For instance, there are some that look like they are made out of gummie bears/gummie lego

and others that look like hard candy

Seriously!  I saw this thread and got hungry.  If my keyboard looked like that, for all the times I put off eating to work, it would absolutely drive me insane with hunger.

Never showed his mouth to confirm he swallowed it, must do another cap! :p

This time it has to be a spacebar, 6u to be nice.

Bronads... That should cure you. Or wasn't there a poopcap artisan? Don't have any inclination whatsoever to pop those in my mouth!

Oktoberfest Clacks do make me thirsty, though.

1. take CC skull mould
2. fill with melted chocolate
3. put in fridge
4. wait
5. remove chocolate CC

chocolate clacks!

however I would imagine people wouldn't eat them, rather collect them and trade them

I think these would make great holiday treats!  I think the artisans just found another line of products. ;)  Hard candies, chocolates, and even filled chocolates would be easy since there's the key stem attachment point.

Are you sure you did not sneak some real pictures of candy in there somewhere.  They look too good to all be fake XD

I love these. And the fact that they're all blank even makes them stand out more. :)

Found these (http://www.decoclico.fr/glacon-silicone-turquoise-clavier-a-21325.html#from=POON&utm_source=shopoon&utm_medium=Moteurshopping&utm_campaign=81_88) ice tray boards. A 70%? Either way a cute gift idea.

I that's silicone, you can probably use it for candy making/baking too.  :thumb:
