I posted over on r/mech market looking to trade my BroSet for a hyperfuse set. My post was immediately downvoted into negatives and all of my replies were down voted to subzero. Everytime I post in there it happens, they will downvote it so much that the only way to see the post is to specifically search for it.
-
Are you wanting to straight up trade? Those sets aren't exactly equal in value.
-
why do they do that? (http://www.cute-factor.com/images/smilies/onion/efb50fe2.gif)
-
No idea what hyperfuse is worth. If cash would be needed I'd be open to it. My gripe is, the use of downvoting. People downvote for reasons other than what it's supposed to be used for.
I usually get hate pm's, and $100 says it's those users that spam the down vote.
* your board/wrist rest is ugly AF
* so you're an artisan hoarder? You suck.
Etc, etc
-
I've never had anything I posted downvoted over there. I see them downvote high priced artisans, but they don't seem too aggressive unless people are asking for something they think is unreasonable. Can't say a Bro Set for Hyperfuse straight up is very fair.

mfw when i go to reddit to check the scumbaggery TSD mentions and the first thing i see is one of the caps i traded being sold for $150
(http://replygif.net/thumbnail/695.gif)
so i guess reddit is where all the sleazy geekhackers go to pawn off their goods for max profit

Realistically broset is ~$80 and hyperfuse is $125-150+
I'm obviously not an r/mk fan just trying to provide some guidance.
-
Why is this gh's problem?

Which Hyperfuse are talking about? The GMK version wouldn't be fair, but the SP version would be.
Mechmarket is a cesspool though.

I assumed GMK I totally forgot there are also SP DCS and DSA sets.

The only way to tolerate the juvenile side of Reddit is to recognize they're juveniles.

Any hyperfuse set really, I'd love to get my hands on Binge's hyperfuse set but they all have the same colors (right?)

Half my posts over at /r/mechmarket get taken down.

Really? I've had posts with 2 week old stamps and they never said anything.

Yep but they have different prices and materials. Binge's was sold at 165$ so maybe you post may have come out a bit greedy, maybe you should have specified that you could add money for certain variations of the set. It could be a direct trade with hyperfuse dcs and dsa, but not gmk hyperfuse.
In anyway, yeah a bit childish environment there, which is also highly influenced by the creator...

People hate me on Reddit so yea....
I've publicly told the mods that the rules are stupid and not effective.

Both the SP ones are the same, the GMK is slightly different as their standard colours were used. The DSA mockup (http://history.ctrlalt.io/buys/hyper-fuse-dsa) looks the same as the GMK one (http://history.ctrlalt.io/buys/hyper-fuse-gmk) though so they must be pretty close :)

What is "down-voting"?
I have landed on reddit a few times and it looked like a very alien environment.
Is it like the Survivor TV show where you can get voted away if people don't like you?

Reddit has post voting, you can up vote Ir downvote. Up voting helps it become a top post that's sern by more ppl, downvoting does the opposite.

GH already has reddit content to be fair.
It's just contained here (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=33130.0) and here (https://geekhack.org/index.php?board=109.0).
No seriously. The entire front page is people posting what they just got or their first mechanical keyboard.
I don't even know why so many people upvote that ****.

because most of the users are literally just people that have one single keyboard

I've said it before, it really reminds me of the attitude of imgur commenters who think they have some robust image content community. Theres very little content that isn't "Look at my new keyboard" and "Look at my new keyset/keycap/cable/etc". I think there's definitely a place for both sites and a need for both to grow the community, but the fact is that a solely Reddit based community would be pretty terrible and just become mob rule.

Yes, they will vote you off the reddit island if they don't like you ^-^

You're not being fair. There are also posts where people ask which keyboard they should buy.

Now I am sure that I don't want to be somewhere that is crowd-filtered.
