Title: LeanChair
Post by: Bodibo on Sat, 14 November 2015, 12:52:22
Came across this https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1133385494/leanchair-the-portable-reclining-standing-desk/description (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1133385494/leanchair-the-portable-reclining-standing-desk/description) whilst looking for a perching/leaning chair to use with my standing desk. Looks interesting, but my concern would be being able to use the rest of my desk while using this and possible neck strain.

Looks great, not sure I can convince facilities management at work to take away my desk though :))

I tried thinking how I could implement this at work with no standing desk. I just can't see it :(

At home my lazy ass will be sitting

Yeah. I think I might try something like this this (http://www.instructables.com/id/Leaning-stool-human-kickstand-wobble-chair/) first, which can be made easily.

looks like it would solve the feet getting tired, but it looks horrible for your back.

Quite possibly. I can use this to get some relief from standing and then stand to get some relief from perching.

Standing helps my back the most, but I need an option for when my legs start to ache. Sitting always hurts my back and my shoulders and arms start hurting for some reason when I sit and type (except when I type on the laptop on the sofa, but then I'm hunched over). I can't seem to win. Maybe I should invent some sort of zero-g typing environment... but then I'm sure something else would begin to hurt!

That seems quite stimulating ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Why lean?  Better for your back to be straight.
