So I've taken a leap into the world of TKL with a sweet score on a NIB IBM BS TKL for $20. :eek: :thumb:
Now the only problem is that I need some number keys to go with it. What's out there that will compliment the IBM and not make me miss the full 101 keys?

So you got an SSK for $20?? And BS number pads are very few and very far between.

Yep, got super duper lucky. It was a gift from God. NIB too!
I've seen that the BS ones are super-rare, which is kinda a bummer, but I'm sure theres some good alternatives that I'm not aware of (hence this thread).
Which one did you get SamirD? Can you take a picture of it? What model number is it?
It's a 1397680 born on 3-10-1993 very similar to the one here. I even have that same box, but the serial number on the box is one digit off from the keyboard:

My sdl cable is a bit unique as I've never seen one like it before and it's almost white. But it's either the original or was put with the keyboard, many, many years ago because the foam has indentations from the cable and the cable hasn't moved.
The pics are from when the seller sent me what he had. You should have seen my jaw drop when I saw what he was wanting to get rid of. Story behind it is that he helped a friend clean out a storage unit and the friend let him keep it for the help. He didn't even know what it really was, just wanted to make some space in his place. There's two rivet heads that fell out, but no biggie.

Ridiculously good price. I look at it as a Christmas gift from above. And a hint that I need to try a tkl setup, lol.

Nice SSK. You really can't use a separate numpad with it, because when you turn the numlock on, it actually turns on the numlock on the keyboard too. However, it is a very nice keyboard. Enjoy it!

Hmmm...but what about that Leopold one that wouldn't toggle the numlock on the system?

Go for it! I will tell you if you turn num lock or scroll lock on, it will take over the SSK. Hopefully, if that separate numpad will work with an SSK, you'll be fine.
The SSK is NOT a TKL. (That is, it has a 10-key integrated into it.)

IBM 6019284 is a TKL BS board. Little hard to get a hold of, unless you order one of Ellipse's new ones.
EDIT : Unless you're rally into semantics and say that the 6019284 is really only a 60% board. :-)

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but it looks like feng restocked the Leopold FC210TP. It's my favorite out of all the mass-produced numpads in terms of looks. I'd guess go with Blues if you're looking for that clicky feel.
I haven't seen some of these color combos. Can anyone confirm if these output numpad or numrow codes?

This is the one that got me interested in an external numpad, but as the previously posted GH link shows, there's some issues with its output codes. This may be resolved now as it seems later firmwares seemed to solve the issue.

The Cherry G84-4700 Programmable Keypad (http://cherrycorp.com/product/g84-4700-programmable-keypad/) could solve your problem.
It's a expensive Keypad, and only the PS/2 version is fully programmable.
The USB version is just a normal keypad with some software do remap the keys, not worth the price.
Only get the PS/2 version if you are interested.

The Cherry G84-4700 Programmable Keypad (http://cherrycorp.com/product/g84-4700-programmable-keypad/) could solve your problem.
It's a expensive Keypad, and only the PS/2 version is fully programmable.
The USB version is just a normal keypad with some software do remap the keys, not worth the price.
Only get the PS/2 version if you are interested.
Programmability isn't as important to me, so even the usb version would be fine for me.
