Title: Century Black Pawn?
Post by: ManxLOLcat on Wed, 18 November 2015, 10:29:36
Seems that not a lot of people know much about this keyboard so I thought I'd raise some awareness for it.

60% keyboard that is available in Cherry MX grays and whites which is quite rare. (for me anyway :P)

Links :
http://samuraibuyer.jp/en/item/detail.php?item_id=222556 (Cherry MX whites)

http://samuraibuyer.jp/en/item/detail.php?item_id=222557 (Cherry MX Tactile Grays)

Seems to be no mention of the board so I was wondering if there was something wrong with it or it's just an availability thing.

You can also find the board on amazon.jp

Don't think there is a problem with build quality since I found it through an osu player (Shigetora) who basically half murder keyboards.

Wow, a whole keyboard of grays.

You'd need Hulk hands to use it.

Linear (dark) grays feel heavier to me than tactile (light) grays.  Both feel heavier to me than tactile + clicky greens.

Non standard bottom row on that board as well.

Yeah I noticed the odd space bar, seems to be a thing with the Black Century Rook TKL as well.

HULK FINALLY FIND GOOD KEYBOARD. HULK HAPPY, HULK NO SMASH NOW. UNLESS HULK TRYING TO USE KEYBOARD.  :D

Anyways, those are fairly interesting, but the bottom row looks very non standard. Should be good for people who like really heavy switches (LIKE HULK).

Yup, 5.5u spacebar means you have to keep the stock one when changing caps. Really limiting for most of us keycap addicts, but an interesting board still.

Also, PCB mount (no plate). Fairly expensive for what it is.
