Title: In need of someone economically inclined (teacher, prof, job-related etc.)
Post by: hwood34 on Thu, 19 November 2015, 19:18:43
So at my high school seniors have to write a 30 page thesis paper (double spaced). For mine I wanted to examine the Chinese economy (where it's headed). We have to get an "outside advisor" in addition to a teacher at school. Basically they just have to help by giving some information/suggestions and critiquing some parts of the paper a bit. Also supposed to be able to meet in some way once or twice per trimester but I figure as long as we talk enough every little while on skype or something I should be fine. PM for me info

pls help

Hahahaha.. economy of china..   it's gonna be strong for at least 20 more years...

We're gonna have a housing bubble very soon,  within 10 years...

Hopefully you guys buy more keyboards... cuz... yea, there' s a boat load of excess capacity here i've noticed.

University or high school?  Single space or double space?

Also, you need to work on your commas and hyphens?

updated. I do have a habit of getting somewhat "over-comma-y."

Says the guy who ends a statement with a question mark.

Basically..  to write a Good Essay FOR REALZIES,  you have to have something to SAY....  in order to do that,  you need to read a ton of material that "stimulates" and or "enhances"  a certain Perspective within you, towards the topic..

So, first off,     let's establish your commitment..

Are you trying to REALLY write an essay..

OR

Do you want us to help you BS one..

I mean I figured if I was gonna have to write a 30 page paper on it I'd have to be pretty interested in the subject. I definitely want to learn more about it.

I don't know if I meet the qualifications of the position, but I would be willing to help you in an advisory role. I've always been good at writing and editing, and I have a decent grasp of economics.

Don't really have anyone lined up yet. If I can't find someone in time I'll definitely drop you a line though. Thanks for the offer :thumb:

I have a BA in economics but cannot responsibly offer to help you b/c I am also a lawyer and therefore I have almost zero control over my schedule/availability. However, you should probably contact this guy (https://www.fiverr.com/akashfatepuria/help-you-with-homeworks-on-economics?context=advanced_search&context_type=rating&context_referrer=search_gigs&source=top-bar&pos=2&funnel=c21773a5-f90f-4221-8053-10e749d2fa6c) and see if you can work something out. I doubt he'd review a 30-page paper for $5 but I imagine if you could give him just specific sections you could keep the total cost under $50.

Well, I don't really need a schedule or anything, as long as you have like 20-30 minutes of time to talk like 4 or 5 times between now and April.

I think writing about the pros and cons of the 1 party system is the easiest to do..

So the essay will just be structured like a large comparative list

Things that get done faster vs the things that get done slower vs the corruption

Prob the most convenient for length and chaining of many subjects.

This allows you to keep things rather shallow on each topic.

THis is how I would BS the essay..

But if you want to write FOR REALZ,   you'd pick something specific,  and do lots of research just on that single route.

I need some notes on this to turn in soon. So anyone got some random points on the direction of the growth of the economy?
