Hey Guys,
I am starting to have an issue with my Vortex PBGPT%)oker 3 :(
When I press the p key, it presses a bunch of other keys.
It used to happen to the i and o keys, but now it's just p
For example:
pressing p actually presses: p OR bgpt50
capital P actually presses: P OR BGPT%)
The extra buttons it presses do change, and the keyboard used to sometimes make a strange buzzing sound when this issue occurred, but now it happens a lot without a sound.
When I played with the DIP switch, it changed the keys that were pressed.
Here is what aqua says I press at the same time when I press p:

Sorry for the bad lighting, it's late here and I didn't want to spend too long taking it.
If anyone can help it would be great, it's really starting to p;bgt50iss me off :)
btw it has Cherry clears
UPDATE:
So I decided to take another look at the keyboard, as I really want to use it.
I noticed there was only one pin coming through the keyboard for the P switch (See imgur link above)
When I manually bridged the points, it pressed the letter P fine.
I desoldered the point and saw this:

The pin was bent:

Just bent the pin back into place, resoldered it, and now it works fine

Have you tried to hold both alt keys to reset back to factory settings?
-
Hey,
I just tried the alt reset, and the issue has occurred again since.
The mid-high pitch buzzing sound came back while it was happening
I have also tried updating the firmware, and a different cable.

Try this:
Press and hold FN + R, Spacebar left LED is flashing at the after 5 seconds, then the layer will restore to default.

Hey I tried this also, it's on the default layer, which shouldn't be programmable, if I remember correctly

I'd probably just ask them direct, send them a facebook message:

They should point you in the right direction. To me it sounds broken, but it could be a different way to reset it or to re-flash the firmware.
