Title: Howdy from Portugal
Post by: shoking on Wed, 25 November 2015, 12:39:56
Hey, my name is Bruno and i currently live in Portugal, i was brought to this world by curiosity but now i'm stuck here ! ahaha
This get addictive and a fast pace, i current own 2 CM storms TK but i am in the look of a new TLK keyboard, i am a heavy user of the arrow cluster, as i almost leave my days in Photoshop and illustrator. I also code, but i don't know how a 60 % would adapt to my workflow. I hope to learn new stuff in the forum

Best regards to all

Welcome to Geekhack!

If you make heavy use of arrow keys, a 60% layout will be very awkward for you.  I tried using my HHKB at work, but the editors we use make heavy use of both arrow keys and function keys, both of which need the Fn key on HHKB.

You might also consider a Leopold FC660M or FC660C - 60% + arrow keys!

Or even a HHKB Japanese layout, which includes a funky little space bar, but also dedicated arrow keys.

thank you all for the greetings , i would love to get a leopold with trope and the overall availability  for Europe is just ridicule, i could see myself getting a novatouch but also dont know from what i have read the default key caps are not the best.

i also have my eye in something like the KUL-87 or the Filco 2 ninja tlk

Most people just replace the keycaps after purchase.

Or you can get a barebones Novatouch (i.e. without any keycaps) from Massdrop: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/cm-novatouch-barebones?mode=guest_open
