Title: Input lag for Filco Majestouch 2, Cherry MX 6.0 or Logitech G910?
Post by: Arx on Thu, 26 November 2015, 02:06:22
I am considering to buy a Filco Majestouch 2 as it is on sale here. ($115 after tax)
But I heard that Cherry MX 6.0, CM Novatouch and Logitech G910 are faster in response speed, For example, Cherry claims MX 6.0 is 20ms faster.
I do care about input lag because I play a few competitive games, is the 20ms faster also true when comparing with good keyboards like Filco?

I tried hard to find input lag measuring data for any of these keyboards, but can't find any.

Because it's skill that wins the battles, not the keyboard. Pick your board on personal preference, and personal preference only.

Also, input lag claims in an MX-style switch are just funny considering how much rattle the switch leaf has.

to be honest, I don't think any people can actually feel the 20ms difference.

To KRKS
I agree that skill is the only important thing.
But it is like I won't run faster with sport shoes than normal shoes, but still prefer sport shoes while sporting.
My purpose is not to get advantage, but to be more comfortable to have keys active timing more precisely.
Anyway, this is not what I want to discuss about in this thread.

To jonathanyu
I never used any keyboards which is 20 ms faster, and agree that 20 ms is negligible in many situations.
For mouse, 20 ms input lag can be noticed. That's why I think such little 20 ms may cause very small difference.
