Title: Oh, hey there

I've been reading a little too much about mech keyboards the last few months! I can solder fairly well, so now I've been staring at pcb's a little too much.  :)

That's cool. You should get an MX or Alps keyboard so you can put your soldering skills to work. You can change out switches at your leisure. You can't do that with a Topre keyboard.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Have you got a mechanical keyboard yet?  Or are you perhaps planning to build one?

Thanks! I think I am going to build one. That LeandreN group buy is looking like a pretty sweet price for a b.face pcb.
Then I can spend a few months eyeballing cases, keys, and switches.

I used to clack away on model m's back in the day, and I am excited to be back with the clicking.

Great!

You can post a build log in making stuff together (https://geekhack.org/index.php?board=117.0) - members are always interested in that.

Have you considered getting another Model M?

PS. This post was typed on one of my SSKs :)
