I've had the Microsoft TrackBall Optical since the early 2000's and it still works perfectly.  ;D

Yep!  Love all their stuff.

I started using the original Logitech Trackman as a substitute for the mouse in the early 1990s, but it was too expensive and didn't find any benefits at the time so we returned it.  It was a really well-made piece.
