I was going to buy the noppoo choc mini from amazon but apparently these new ones use a noppoo switch instead of the cherry mx. Has anyone tried one of these keyboards with the noppoo switch?

I don't have experience with noppoo brand switches, but why not order from Corus-KB (https://corus-kb.com/en/choc-mini-84/13-noppoo-choc-mini-84-usb-nkro.html#/39-switches_type-cherry_mx_red)? Free shipping and they've got cherry reds if that's what you're in the market for. If reds aren't your thing they have all different flavors of gateron, which are smoother than cherry and overall I've had a great experience with them. Just don't mistake the gateron clears for mx clears, the gaterons are linear and are nothing like the mx variant.

Do you know the actuation force on the gateron blacks? Is it less than the cherry mx blacks?

I did a spreadsheet compiling all MX Compatible switches. More here (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=77774.0). Gateron Blacks are about 10g lighter at 50g instead of the Cherry MX-Black at 60g.

I too was concerned about the same thing before purchasing mine a few months back.
The Gateron blacks are indeed awesome. Silky smooth... It was a great post from CPTBadAss that convinced me to take the plunge;

I now frown when using my Cherry red board. ;D
I also grabbed mine from Amazon (Sold by Corus Keyboards and Fulfilled by Amazon). I would've bought it direct but Corus have yet to include the white version on their website?
Note, I did have to return the first board. The L key was playing up? Sometimes it wouldn't register and other times it would register two to three times? No issues with the second board though.
