I do not know how I missed this keyboard before, but I just recently discovered the Duck Viper, which I believe is available as a kit. My favorite form factor is 60% and my favorite layout is HHKB, but I wanted these features with switch options other than Topre, such as Cherry mx (and clones, such as purple Zealios) and Alps (and clones, such as Matias). It seems that the way the Duck Viper has been marketed previously is through a GB. I have no experience in running a GB, and I would not have the time to organize one myself, but I hope that someone in GH would like to revive a GB for this keyboard (and its close relative, the Duck Eagle (which has a standard 60% layout).

Sorry but I don't believe it's possible, Duck already has a set schedule of his next boards he is planning on producing. It's somewhere on his website but it is going to be Octagon v2, Lightsaver v3, and then Orion v3. He may do the Viper/Eagle after that but elton is the one who runs the group buys on geekhack for the man himself.

I'd love another round of Vipers/Eagles. Maybe with enough begging and pleading we could make it happen. ;D

The problem is having the time available, Duck already has been planning for the next year or so when it comes to boards he wants to make. Take a look at the Orion v2 group buy, the thread was started April 11th and only half the people that joined have received their boards. It is just about to be finished since the second batch has been shipped out but it has taken a hell of a time to get them. Duck has already planned out the Octagon v2, then the Lightsaver v3, and finally Orion v3 for his next projects in that same order. If each group buy lasts just as long as the Orion v2 group buy then that means it will be 27 months away until he will have the available time to work on another project. I don't see another Duck Viper group buy coming to fruition anytime soon.

A poll on Massdrop means nothing, Duck is the only one to decide. I'm not trying to thread crap but there is no hope of a Duck Viper/Eagle group buy anytime soon.

lol Having a poll on Massdrop won't make it happen. I've seen crazy things happen on Massdrop, but I'm 99% certain Duck won't do a Massdrop...drop for a board.

Since it is the "interest check", I believe we should make Duck or whoever care about it know how many people are interested in the groupbuy.
