Title: Carbon Fiber skin for CM Storm keyboards
Post by: codywanks on Tue, 22 December 2015, 15:39:20
Hey guys,

I recall seeing Imgur photos of some dude who DIY skinned his QFR-i with this material (http://speedkore.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Carbon-Fiber-SpeedKore-Wisconsin.jpg). Unfortunately I'm no longer able to find the original link.

Is there anybody here who can make this in the form of a pre-cut sticker kit, so noobs like me can use it on my CM Storm keyboard?

Cheers!

You're just looking for Carbon Fiber vinyl.

The highest quality vinyl you can get will be DI-NOC by 3M

cheers

Yes, that looks correct, but I'm looking for something pre-cut (just peel & apply) and would be willing to pay for it

Doesn't it kind of defeat the purpose, though, using something that just looks like CF rather than actually being it? And how are you going to handle the corners convincingly?

Dunno, maybe it is actually CF?

I suppose the seams will be visible on the corners.

Here's an example (https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/2e4yf1/very_clean_easy_aesthetic_mod_on_my_quickfire_pro/) of somebody who did the mod, though not on a Novatouch
