I can confirm wireless IR and Bluetooth devices create small amounts of input and frame lag.

I just got a wireless sensei, I friggen love it. Have no noticed any lag yet. Mind you I've only played some WoW so far. It's going to be perfect for relax couch gaming though!

The amount of input lag is so small that 90% of users will not even notice it. We are talking hundredths of a second here but it does exist.
A bigger issue is bounced signals, which is a common occurrence in IR devices. But IR is both faster and safer then Bluetooth devices by a wide margin.

Was using the apple Bluetooth mouse, now that's a horrible thing!

I try to avoid wireless if at all possible, no dead batteries, no lag, no interference ect ect, been that way since I was younger. Sadly my PS4 controller can't become wired like it's XB1 brother...

I feel like Xbone is the better built console..

Ps4 is Tooooo Japanese..

just like the PS3, it has the PSU integrated..  which means it's got less thermal headroom.

While I agree it comes down to gaming skills more than the tool..

But, why give your opponent an advantage..

I have most of my peripherals wired, not for the sake of being better at games or anything, but i just prefer it, i got tired of changing / recharging batteries.... Though running cat6 downstairs from my router just so i could hook my roku and media PC up when i could have just used wifi was probably a bit silly. But if i didn't rent id wire up every room for ethernet and build my own PF Sense router with a separate firewall so i can have all my outgoing web server stuff on it's own network, because why not.

I have been routing my mouse and keyboard through team viewer and been sending my video feed through twitch so i can game on my laptop, the experience has been wonderful :) I highly recommend it to upcoming dota and lol players and other players of the FPS genre

Steam can stream directly to your laptop as long as you have steam installed on both computers.

much better than twitch.
