'cause let's face it, twisting the cable around a pencil and heating it coils the cable
but not as good and neat as we all want it to be.
I saw somewhere that reverse twisting the wires takes the coiling to the sweet spot.
Is that really it? Is this the golden secret for a perfectly coiled USB cable?
Merry Xmas :)

Reverse twisting is the only way to get it to have the correct action/springiness - otherwise it's purely cosmetic. There's a video floating around that shows the quick way to do this by attaching it to the rotary head of an electric drill.

Could it possibly be this one?
Thanks for the prompt answer!

That's it! Though I don't remember the Vietnamese subtitles. :p
Think a dude wrote up an amateur's guide to this also...maybe on Imgur, via /MK? Dunno. Some of the people offering custom cables will do this - some won't, because it eats up even more wire - but you could try asking them about their experiences, as well.

That video was awesome lol. That's a lot of work that goes into such a cable.
